The Seasons

Hi Everyone, this is Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room. Wow time flies when your having fun. LOL It seems like I just made my debut. Thank you Sheila for having me. I hope you are having a wonderful vacation. Thank you all for joining me today. I decided to do another 12 x 12 scrapbook page. I hope you enjoy my project.

I used my Gypsy and made frames with the words welded on top, the Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall were done using Don Juan.
The snowflakes, popscicle, watermelon, apple, and leaf with acorn is from Doodlecharms. The flowers are from A Walk in my Garden.

Measurements - All the frames are 4" x 4", Winter - 3.4" x 1.4", Spring - 2.81" x 1", Summer - 3.87" x 1.6", Fall - 1.82" x 1.04", popscicle - .74" x 1", watermelon - 1.26" x 1", apple - .95" x 1", leaf and acorn - 1.19" x 1". The Gypsy makes life so much easier, I love the welding and especially the hide contour feature. I LOVE MY GYPSY :)

Here are the papers I used for each of the frames. After I was done cutting them out, that's when the hide contour feature came in handy. I hid the frames and all the images to get just the words cut out, so that I could use different papers to bring out the words, Winter was done in white, Spring was done in a striped patterned paper, Summer was inked with green and blue, and Fall was going to be done in tan paper until I found a cute leaf pattern paper that I thought was perfect.

See how the image was welded onto the frame? I then cut out the images in the colors that I wanted and glued them onto the existing image, and also how Summer was inked.

These were some scraps that I used to cut out all of the images.

Then I used some stickles to jazz up the die cuts, I used the white gel pen on the snowflakes along with some dazzling diamonds and of course my handy dandy two way glue stick for the small pieces and some stick on rain drops for the bottom of the page. I then added a punched border to separate the page, some ribbon and a journaling oval that I distressed, which says: Winter brought alot of snow this year, But, Spring brought new life. Then came a hot summer, but a nice dip in the pool cooled you off. In the fall, you got to carve your own pumpkin.

No, unfortunately that is not our pool, it's our Uncle's. Sometimes, I wish we had one.
Thank you so much for taking a peak at my design today. Thanks again to Sheila and Thank you Pam for answering my questions, you were a big help :)
