A Halloween Card

Hi Everyone and Happy Halloween, it's Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room sharing another project this month. I offered to take another day to fill an empty space. This is my cute Halloween card I made. The card is a standard size 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". The base is white and I used orange card stock as a layer. I laid down some washy tape that I had bought a while ago from Stampin' Up that I hadn't used yet. The sentiment is also from Stampin' Up, the set is called Mingle All the Way. The cute hat, legs with shoes and broom are from Emma's at My Creative Time's stamp and die set called Wicked Fun Dies. I colored the broom handle with black and added a little shimmer from a silver glitter marker. I added glossy accents to the shoes, and a little twine bow to the hat. The sequins in the corner were from Michael's. On the sentiment, I colored  a couple of the words orange and green to match the card.

It's hard to see the details of the card but it came out very cute. Thanks for visiting my blog and have a very Happy safe Halloween and a wonderful weekend.

Thanks Sheila for allowing me to be a part of your team :)

Mr. Marty Halloween Card

Meet Mr. Marty, he is one of the little monsters on the cartridge Mini Monsters. He was so easy to put together and will be great for one o my little grand children.

Join me as I describe how to make Mr. Marty yourself. It is an easy project that your little ones will enjoy.

I have been trying to remember where I got this freebie but it really looks great in the inside of this card.

Here he is once again and as you can see he can stand really nicely, now won't he look adorable on some little boy or girl's dresser?

Thank you for joining me today. I enjoyed spending time with you. Thank you for your sweet-sweet words of encouragement. You comments continue to inspire me.

Personalized Birthday Card Using The Explore Print Then Cut Feature

This is a wonderful personalized birthday card designed on the Cricut Explore using the all new print then cut feature. My first picture was a little hard to use the tool but it was because I was using a large pointer, but as soon as I figured that out it was easy. Just pull up a photo on your computer and erase the items you don't want to show and you are good to go.

This is a long video but there is a lot to show you. I love window cards and they are really easy to make on Design Space because you have so much room to work with. You are litmited only by the size of your monitor.

This is a close up of the inside of the card. Even with stamping a message I had enough room to write a little note to Brianna.

This is a close up of the front of the card and Brianna's photo. It really turned out nice as you can see.

Well I hope you enjoyed my post today. I sure enjoyed making this card and Brianna loved getting it. She was amazed that her photo was on the card and fit right into it.

Thank you for joining me today, and thank you for your sweet-sweet encouraging words. Your comments continue to inspire me.

Candy's New Craft Room 2014!

Hey everyone!
Hope you are all having a fabulous day!
Candy here from Candy's Craft Corner!
It's my turn to share with you here today! Thanks so much Sheila for having me. It's great to be back!
I wanted to share with you today my NEW CRAFT ROOM! So excited for you all to see my new space. It's quite a bit smaller than my last room (9 x 10 and the old room was 14 x 16) but I made it work.
The wall color hasn't been changed. We left it the same as the previous owners had it. It works perfect for my craft room.
First I am going to show you some pics of what it looked like before I unpacked all the boxes. What a mess! It took awhile but I finally got it just the way I want it. With no wasted space.
There were seventeen more boxes that held my jetmax cubes as well. I made sure to unpack those first because there was no way all that was going to fit in this tiny room. I just unpacked them as the movers brought them in.
What a mess!!
So many boxes!!!
 NOW FOR THE AFTER!!! YAY!
On my desk are my essential, everyday tools in that tote, atg gun, scotch tape, acrylic blocks, copics, and paper trimmer. This wall stores my inks in a shelf my daughter Carlie made for me.As well as my buttons, extras small pieces of ribbon, xyron, i-rock and supplies and a couple of cards I've made as well as some special trinket boxes from friends.
The table I got from Ikea and under it in the filing cabinet are my 8 x 8 paper pads, extra cardstock and my paper scraps as well as my stamp presses. My cricut cartrides are all under there as well in some totes I got from ebay. In the drawers on the left are finger daubers, stamp cleaner, glitters, stickles, embossing powders and supplies, more inks and cords for machines. Far right plastic tote holds printer paper, magazines and patterned paper scraps.
I put my Imagine on my desk as I lost the unit that it used to be stored on. Now I just pull down my Explore and sit it on top of my Imagine when I want to use it. My Expression will be sitting on the shelf above the Explore as soon as I can get hubby to put it up.
All of my cutting machines as well as my cuttlebug, big shot, cinch, printer and tissue box cover are all covered by cozies made by Kathy`s Cozies. They are so awesome! She also made my curtain. Thanks Kathy!!
My gel nail certificate and the spice rack I repurposed for my mini buttons, brads and sequins.
That top shelf now holds my Willow Tree figurines and some wedding momentos.
In the six cubes are flowers, chocolates, laces and trims, empty containers and thing for giveaways. On top are my Stamps of Life and My Creative Time dies.
Also in this corner are markers, copic airbrush kit, and pencil crayons.
Everything is pretty much in easy reach!
My pink Christmas tree on top of my paper storage my husband made for me.
New floor model clip it up that holds most of my clear stamps. Love it! I used to have 3 base units with top tier clip it ups but traded them out for this floor model and saved a lot of space.
Cuttlebug with a Kathy's Cozy, decorative scissors, xyron and pearls and pins. Lamp I decorated.
My Stamps of Life stamps, ribbon, ink, punch, adhesive and 6 x 6 paper pads and 12 x 12 paper storage. These Jetmax are fantastic!
And remember to label as much as you can because if you don't know where your goodies are, how are you supposed to find them to use them?? Organization is the key to happiness! LOL! At least in my craft room!
I also have all my special cards on this wall as well as my hunk calendar that you can't see(unfortunately for you) at this angle.

I bought these bygel rails from IKEA before we moved from Alberta for my Martha Stewart punches. And look still a little room to grow! LOL!No wasted space here. Saw this on a youtube video(sorry don`t remember the channel) a while back, using the space behind the door.
New spinning DVD shelf to now hold my La La Land Crafts and Greeting Farm stamps and another lamp I decorated.
I'm still using Ethan's baby change table for storage of my cinch, dies, Imagine cartridges, Christmas/Halloween/Easter goodies, rubber stamps, felt, boas, envelopes, beads and my Tudors DVD collection, as well as my inventory binder. I got hubby to add a few extra screws to it as it was getting a little loose and shaky. Great repurpose.
Another shelf added above to now hold my printer as well, covered by a Kathy's Cozy. I love my new curtain! Can't forget my Tony Vegas painting!
Inside my closet. I've used every inch of space right up to the ceiling. Mostly gel nail supplies on that top shelf as well as things I would rarely go to. Second shelf holds extra adhesive, my son Ethan's crafting supplies and empty containers and totes.
I have to keep my bin of boots and all my shoes in this closet as there is not as much storage space in this new house. My babies are all in one spot. LOL! In the right corner there is my nail table and behind that is my cricut tote.
For everyone who has seen my last craft room, you would have seen that I had 4 jet max cubes on either side of my crafting desk. This new room didn't have the room for that. So I put those 8 cubes in this formation in front of my gorgeous window and placed a melamine table top from IKEA($20) on top of them to now use as my new die cutting station. On top is my bigshot covered with a Kathy's Cozy and my camera tripod.
These jetmax holds all of my 12 x 12 patterned paper stacks, matstacks, and taller 6 x 6 paper pads as well as embossing folders, bigshot plates and dies, extra ink for Imagine, crimper, chipboard, p-touch, glue guns, hotknife, sprays and misc supplies.
Hope you enjoyed the little look inside my new craft room. I really love this space!
There will be a new video coming soon!
In the meantime here is the link for my youtube channel where you  can find the video of my old craft room as well as some storage solution and card videos!
Thanks for stopping by today.
Take care,
Candy

A little Etty Post :-)

Hi everyone.  It's Karon here from Karon's Krafty Korner.  Popping in for a quick visit to day. Thanks Sheila for putting up with me :-)

Today, I decided to have a go at using the Mojo Monday sketch, as my mojo sort of took a break recently.  Here is the card I came up with.

I used all elements from one of the new Polkadoodles CD's.  This is the Winston Deluxe Papercrafting Collection and is now also available for immediate download and can be found here.

This is Etty and I used one of the decoupage design sheets, that are in this fabulous collection.

There are so many lovely images, embellishments and amazing selection of papers.  This is Collection is truly wonderful and so versatile.

For the inside I did the same layers as the front, and added a pink panel to leave a message and couldn't resist adding another picture of that fabulous post box!

And finally another shot of the outside.  I inked all the edges of all the layers with CTMH Cotton Candy and added a little pearl dot to the little flower.

I love how crisp this looks, the papers are so wonderful.

Here is the sketch I used.

Thanks so much for letting me stop by.

Happy crafting.

Print Then Cut a digi with Explore

Hi, this is Charlotte C, and I’m excited to be here today.  Thank you, Sheila, for this opportunity.  I hope you are all enjoying the change in weather.  Here in New York we’ve had a September with all seasons except snow.  It’s been hot, cool, cold, rainy – you name it.

Okay, now to my excitement.  I found a black and white digi stamp on line that I wanted to color and put on some note cards for a friend, but I really didn’t want to sit and color 6 copies of it.  So I brought the black and white image into Photoshop Elements.  I have PE 10.  This is what it looked like.

By using the Magic Wand Tool and following instructions I found on YouTube, I was able to color the image till it looked like this.

I am by no means expert or even a novice in using PE, but with a series of trials and errors and knowing all sections to be colored had to be isolated from the others, I fumbled my way through it and achieved success.

Now comes the Design Space fun part.  OMG, so super easy.   In DS, I imported the colored image, and by following the prompts to insert and clean it, I printed it on my printer using SU Whisper White card stock, and I duplicated the image before printing. You can see the registration marks in the three corners on this picture that has four images.

I then loaded the printed sheet into the Explore, pressed cut, sat back, let the Explore do its thing, and marveled at the results.

Here’s the finished product.

I created a box for the note cards and envelopes by using my WRMK envelope maker!  I can share that info if you want.

If you would like to do a print then cut from an image in the Cricut cartridge library, all you have to do is click flatten once you bring bring the image into DS.  Like these from Create A Critter 2.  No layers, just die cuts.  Cool, right?
Hope you try cutting digis, colored or not.  Happy fall and Happy Halloween.
