Don't you love it? I love New Orleans and the total flamboyancy of it! I used Designer Calendar, Celebrations, and Gypsy Wanderings for the various cuts on this piece along with a ton of glitter, rhinestones, diamonds and stickles. Note the beads are genuine, I got them myself on Bourbon Street.... and I didn't buy them!
Above is what is looked like before I framed it and below are a few close-ups.
I ran the lettering and also the mask throught the Zyron and then put the glitter on them. Make sure you place the side you want the adhesive on down (I did one the wrong way and needed to re-cut). It was so much easier than placing glue on each piece and trying to make it look even. See below:
After I put the adhesive on the mask I position the stones where I wanted them and then shook a fine glitter on it leaving space to adhere the feathers.
I then chalked the edges from above so you could not see the different colors.
See how it looks now:
Then I placed stickles on it so now...
The calendar was made seperately as I may decide to use the same page next year! All I need to do is re-do the calendar section, pull off the old and replace with the new. Easy. I also stickled the holidays and my daughter Heather's birthday on the 19th.
If I have any requests I will make the cut file availble. Here is the Flamboyant February cut file.
Thanks for taking a moment to comment.
