This card is such a riot. When driving to Myrtle beach on vacation this summer I asked my handsome hubby what does a robot say? He immediately said "Warning - Warning", you know the same thing the little robot used to say on Lost In Space. Well we chuckled and chuckled and reminisced about old TV shows while I kept clicking away on my Gypsy Woman. Well when I saw this little guy that did it. Arms flying in the air I could just seem him running to the aid of Will Rogers on the show and had to make this card!!! Too Funny... (boy did I age myself with this little story) Oh well we had fun and that's how this became the card of the week.
Well here is the design on my Gypsy Woman. As you can see I did a hide contour on my 5x5" square card base and welded it to one with the inner circle showing. I did the warning on the side, welded it an then adjusted the size for my square. I did not weld the letters yet to the card base. I copied the warning making four of them and positioned them exactly where I wanted them on the card. I placed my robot in the center of the card and increased the size until it fit like I liked it. After I got it's final size I copied so I could place on the side for color layering and the other layers. I then welded all the parts on the card. After that was done I copied the entire card and positioned on the mat for a double cut as shown. I then made sure I had two of all the parts. I added a second page with the sentiment boxes for the two cards.
I took 1 sheet of wonderful double sided K and Company paper and gathered a bunch of solid colored scraps for this little project, including some wonderful glitter paper I had left over from a box I made.
I used Zig one way glue to adhere the warning to the base.
I then adhered all the other little parts.
Then I took a gel pen and added little dots on some of the letters because I thought they looked too plain without.
Then I added his little eyeballs, all 5 of them!
I inked the sentiment paper before adhering, as I really like that look.
Above is what the card looks like standing up.
Don't you just love the dimension this gives!
And another side view of our little guy.
