I decided to make a Halloween Pennant Banner. First I was trying to think of what to use as the pennants. I thought of chipboard but I really don't have any on hand right now, I'm starting to save more cereal boxes and cracker boxes. I love how those cut and they are pretty sturdy without being to thick. Then I thought of felt but it would be to flimsy, voila, I have foam sheets.
So, I used a bone folder and a ruler and scored three pennants on black foam then cut them out.
They started out as each side being 10" and the top 7" but I found them to be to big so I just trimmed them down a bit. Next I traced them on the back of this cute paper from DCWV, The Midnight Spell stack.
I used Gem Tac glue to adhere the paper to the foam and it worked very well. I then punched holes and added eyelets. I threaded through orange ribbon from Papertrey Ink.
I cut out 3 bodies from Paper Doll Dress Up, then cut out a mummy, a monster and a ghost and adhered them onto the bodies using Zip Dry glue.
Next I used a Grey marker to highlight the mummy, and added googly eyes. I used old paper distress ink on the ghost and added googly eyes and a bow from jute, for the monster I added googly eyes and did some doodles with a white gel pen and I stickled the tops of the antenna with purple. I put one self adhered chipboard letter on each pennant to spell out BOO. I also added self adhesive glittered flowers along with black ribbon which I stapled.
Thank you Sheila for having me for another month and thank you everyone for taking the time to stop by.
