A Bookmark, A Card and A Box

Hi Everyone, It's Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room here for my turn this month. Thank You Sheila for having me and for all you do. Gee, it's been so crazy lately that I haven't even had time for me, but I hope that will change soon :) It is so important to make time for ourselves. Anyway, where Mother's Day is coming soon, (May 13th) I figured I would get a head start on a few things. I decided, since my Mom loves to read, I would make her this cute bookmark. I cut out two rectangles from a regular file folder and adhered them together with my Xyron. I used Tim Holtz distress inks to add some color, then I used a flower stamp and stamped it randomly with Versamark. I sprinkled clear embossing powder on the images and used my heat gun. I sprayed the whole thing with blue glimmer mist to bring out the flowers, then dotted blue stickles in the center of each flower. I punched a hole in the top, added a grommet and then tied some ribbon.

Next is the card. I just cut a regular A2 size card, tied a ribbon around it, used the extra large die from My Creative Time. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set Mom You Rock, also from My Creative time. I also stamped a couple of flowers and a dragonfly from a stamp set that I got as a gift, I don't know the name of it. I added stickles to the flowers and the dragonfly. The cute rolled flower I had purchased quite a while ago from Christina of Creating with Christina. I think she had a die that cut them out and you rolled them up. Emma from My Creative Time just came out with a rolled flower die if you didn't already know that ;) I sprayed the flower with blue glimmer mist and added a pearl in the center. I added some stitching around the edge of the card.

Last is the box. I cut out one of the boxes from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More with fit to page. I put it together and added a ribbon. I added a larger flower to the top and added a pearl in the center. I will probably fill the box with chocolates ;)

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit. Thank you again Sheila for having me. I hope to see you again soon. I have a couple of things I am working on for a birthday so I'll be posting them soon. :)
