Don't you just love fun cards.... those that bring out the child in your nature? I do. This card was so easy to make and so, so simple that it is must have in your card making arsenal. As long as you have the base of the card stored on your Gypsy as a template you can add any artwork you want to fit the occasion.
See how easy that was. Make your self a template and name it as such and when you need a fast card this little one will do the trick.... even if it is just adding words to the bottom.
These cards went together so fast and all I used is 1 1/2 sheets of 12x12 paper and 7 inches of trim that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.
Now doesn't this look cute? I must say the picture doesn't do it justice as it is so cute. The pattern paper are from Close To Heart, the Dotty collection, Coordination's for the gray and I used scraps for the white sentiment area.
I inked the edges with Cotton Candy ink and I love how it brings the pink to the inside of the card.
In less than a 1/2 hour these 2 cards were designed, cut and put together. Love that as I have such a busy schedule and often times I just need a card now! You know what I mean? This little card will do the trick.
Thank you for joining us today, I hope you enjoyed this little project and it helps you with your Gypsy. Thanks for your sweet sweet words of encouragement. Your comments inspire me to continue to share with you. Have a blessed week.
Oh, I love this. TY. I'm disappointed I wasn't able to enter last week's challenge. I was making other cards for birthdays, baby shower, etc. But for sure I'll be posting something this week. Just noticed you have this labeled as Create a Critter, but I believe you used Birthday Bash for the hippo. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I fixed it.
ReplyDeleteAwesome card Sheila! I hope to get a card made and posted, we will see how it goes!! With 6 boys, two are still home and a farmer husband, I am have to run the two boys to work and pick up, and taking care of the house and the outside yard work myself. And then of course there is the grandkids, I just love every second with them. lol But I'm going to do my best to get a card posted!!
ReplyDeleteYou;re right - making cards like this does bring out the kid in you. Thanks for your videos. I know how time consuming it probably is but we all appreciate them.

Hello Sheila,
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your cards every week. I do often follow along. I made the mirror card with the woman silhouette for my mother's birthday. She absolutely loved it. Can I still upload pics if I don't have a blog?
Thanks!
Sandra

This is precious Sheila! I love how you made the little ribbon skirt. So Cute!
ReplyDeleteOh my that is just adorable, the pleated shirt is too too cute. You are amazing with that Gypsy
ReplyDeleteLove it, Sheila, and it is easy! I love working with my Gypsy (except for the screen being so small!)
ReplyDeleteI've never made that kind of card before where the front is shorter than the back, so I'm sure I'll give it a try!!

Adorable tu tu!!! Love the card!! I will try to carve out some time to make one!! My Gypsy is better but still messing up on welds...just not as much. Makes me reluctant to weld anything right now as my craft time is so limited.
ReplyDeleteI love how you inspire so many others!!!
Sheila, you're the "sassy queen" when it comes to these shaped cards, and you do such great tutorials!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I have had my Gypsy for quite some time, I still run home to Momma Creative Design Studio when I get frustrated. I stuck with it this time, though and have worked all evening on the Hippo inspired card and a get well card from one of your other videos. Thank you SO MUCH for continuing to do them - they are so helpful!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this card!! Soooo adorable and the detail is so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG so cute! Love the tutus on the hippos. Put a smile on my face ;)
