I Graduated From My Copics Class

Well this is my final project! I told you I would eventually share, so here she is. This little image; Celebration Mae is from Some Odd Girl. I have to admit I a little shy about it as there are so many awesome Copic Certified people in the blogging world and I am just a beginner.

I learned so many awesome things in class that I never realized even existed, like blending if three colors, making hair look like it is natural with highlights and all.... and the list goes on and on....  Melissa and Kristy would teach us a lesson, give us homework and then we would upload our work to the Created From Color site. Then they would offer suggestions as to how to improve on the methods we just learned. I found it very challenging and really feel confident enough to now make things. This is the first card I made as well as the first time I colored an image completely pulling in from all the lessons we received. How Fun! & Challenging for me.

Looky - looky what I got! It can be found proudly posted on my blog, When you complete your class, and after you turn in your final project you get a certificate of completion and a badge that you can proudly display. Don't you just love mine?!?

Here is another close up and in this one you can really see the shading I did on her legs.... 2 months ago I would have colored them in with 1 marker and called it done. I used three different markers, isn't that cool? The paper I used is from the Lucy Paper Package from Close To My Heart, I used the scraps from my Spinner card and have enough to do one more! The cool thing is that I love love love the paper so I chose my marker to match the paper!!! I would normally have tried to find paper to match the image... This was so easy to match you just have to try it on your own!
I sure hope you enjoyed today's post... I feel like I really put my skill on the line here and hope you also take a minute and check out Created From Color if you are a total beginner like me or even if you want to just bump up your skills to another level.
Thank you for youer sweet sweet words of encouragement. Your comments inspire me to continue sharing with you.

  8. Congrats! Using Copics is fun. I don't have all that many pens but I tried to buy 3 them in groups, reds, blues, browns so I can do the shading. Skin is tricky but I'm getting the hang of it. Looking forward to seeing more of your projects.

  10. Great job on your girl! I tried one class at CKC and I was too intimated. I think I need a one on one session where it's not rushed. I may just have to try again. Thanks for sharing. -Tami
