A Father's Day Card

Hi Everyone, Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room taking my turn again this month. Thank you again Sheila for having me. Since Father's Day is Sunday, I figured I would make a simple card for my husband. I've really never made him a card, it's funny, I make things for so many others and he always compliments me, so I'm sure he will be surprised. His birthday is Monday also.

The card is an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" folded. The cardstock is from The Guy Stack from DCWV. I cut an oval out with a Creative Memories Template, then I stamped the image Happy Father's Day from the All Around Everything stamp set from My Creative Time, also the ties from All Around Everything Accessories. I colored in the ties with Stampin Up markers. I then inked the oval with Old Paper Distress Ink from Tim Holtz.

I cut a small slit on the side of the card to add twine and tied it in a knot. I'll be writing something in the inside of the card.
Thank you so much for stopping by. See you again soon.

  1. What a cute little card. Father's day cards are so hard to make as we want them masculine and this one is great! Thanks for sharing with us today.

  5. What great paper for a masculine card. Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there. Sometimes they get a bad rap but we still love 'em dearly.
