Gift Box made with the Stampin' Up Punch Board
Hi Everyone,
Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room here to share my project for the month. WOW, can you believe it is almost Fall? Where did the summer go? Hi Sheila, thank you for having me :) Sorry in advance if this is a little picture heavy.
I decided to give my new toy a try. The Stampin' Up Gift Box Punch Board. I have the Envelope Board and love it so I decided to get the box one too. I wasn't going to, but I'm glad I did. It makes 15 different size boxes, according to the sizes. WOW, that's quite a few huh? The smallest is 1.75 x 1.75 x 1.75 using a 6 x 6 piece of paper or card stock, which I made just playing around to try it out. It is very cute and could fit small candies or earrings or a chained bracelet. The biggest one, which I made here is 4 x 4 x 4 using a 12 x 12 piece of paper or card stock. It's a very good size box for a gift.
We are celebrating my friend's birthday on Friday so I decided to make her this box and decorate it. I added some Shred Fill to the box, I'm going to put cash and maybe some Lindt Chocolates inside, this will also take the place of a card.
This is how I started out, with the punch board and a piece of blue card stock.
Here it is all punched, scored and folded.
For the boxes I like to use Scor - Tape or the red tape because it is stronger.
Here is the box, it is very easy to put together.
I used 3 stamp sets from Stampin' Up to decorate my box, Another Great Year, Perfect Pennants and Life's Adventure (which is a Hostess set). This side is from Another Great Year. I stamped it in brown and cut it out and adhered it with a tape runner. I added a rhinestone on top of the i.
This side is from Perfect Pennants, I stamped it in blue, used the 2" circle punch to cut it out, then stamped it again in yellow and punched out just the a with the 1/2" circle punch and used a pop dot to raise it up.
The sentiment, banner with candles and cupcake are from Another Great Year, her name is from letter stamps, I stamped them and used the 1/2" circle punch to cut them up and popped them up. The cupcake is also popped up and I added a rhinestone to the top. I colored the candles and the cupcake with markers. I stamped the candles with banner again and just cut out the banner and used a tape runner to adhere it on top of the stamped image. The sentiment was punched out with a punch but I left the top straight.
This side is from Life's Adventures, isn't that a cute cake? I stamped it in blue and just added touches of color with markers. I cut it out with the Ripple Paper Edgers scissors from Fiskars.
When you punch the paper or card stock on the other side of the punch, it makes these cute notches that locks the lid in place, isn't that cool? I love it.
Well, that's my project for you. I hope you like it as much as I liked making it. I think it came out so cute and I can't wait to make more. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Thanks again to Sheila for this awesome opportunity.
