Lotus Blossom Card - Three Step Stamping
Hi Everyone,
Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room here for my second project of the month. I made a card with the Lotus Blossom stamp set from Stampin' Up. It's such a beautiful flower. Previously I used the same stamp set to create tags. This card was also made for a sketch challenge.
I started off with a white base and used Blackberry Bliss, Lavender Lace and Pink Passion inks from Stampin' Up. The first stamp, you ink up and stamp, the second stamp, you ink up and stamp off once, just on a piece of paper, then stamp on top of the first stamp and the third stamp, you ink up and stamp off twice, then stamp on top of the second stamp. There is a point on each stamp, so it makes it easier to line each flower up. That's using just one color of the ink, you can also use three of the same family color inks from light to dark. I used Pear Pizzazz for the stem. The sentiment was stamped with Blackberry Bliss. Both the stem and sentiment are from the same stamp set.
I tied twine around the base, cut out the border with a border punch also from Stampin' Up, then adhered the base to a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" white card. I trimmed the side a little so that the border wouldn't hang off.
I love this stamp set, I think it is so pretty. Thank you Sheila for giving me an extra day :)
Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon.
Lisa this car is gorgeous. I love it. This is a technique that I have not mastered yet. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThis stamp set just came to me recently, so I am trying out different colors. The idea of stamping off with just 1 color is terrific. Thank you for reminding me to do that. BethAnn
