Treat Box

Hi Everyone,

Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room here with my project for September. I thought I would put my gift box punch board to work. I started out with an 8" x 8" piece of Designer Series paper. I lined it up on the punch board to the S mark and punched and scored each corner. The long mark was scored using the L mark. I guess that makes the box tall. I'm still learning which marks make different size or shaped boxes. This box I copied from www.chicnscratch.com.

After you do all the punching and scoring, you turn the paper over and line up the score lines and punch each corner. Then you put adhesive on two corners. I used the tear tape from Stampin' Up. All the products used are from Stampin' Up.

Then you fold the box together. To decorate, I used the Boo and Owl from the Howl o ween Treat stamp set and framelits to cut them out on the Cuttlebug. The Boo was cut out using the back of a scrap of the paper and the owl was stamped on white card stock with Black Momento ink.

I used glue to adhere the Boo, and popped up the owl with dimensionals. I punched holes in the top with a ribbon punch and threaded white ribbon through and tied it together with gray and white baker's twine. I added rhinestones to the owl's eyes and colored his beak orange with a Stampin' Up marker.

Here is the finished product. Isn't it so cute? Thank you for stopping by, your comments mean a lot. Have a wonderful weekend.
