Note if I had my Christmas decorations down from the attic it would have cost even less as I could have used ornaments that I already had. This was so easy to do!!! All you need to do is grab your glue gun and get to work...
Well this is how we start with a crumpled up wreath. I bought if from Hobby Lobby. The first thing you do is start pulling it apart all the little branches need to be pulled out and fluffed up just like an artificial Christmas tree.
After my wreath was pulled out I took some left over paper and a garbage bag and covered the grass and sprayed the flocking powder on the wreath. In all honesty I don't know if the flocking will remain on the wreath during some of the heavy rains we get her in Alabama in the winter months. Great news we had heavy rains yesterday and the flocking remained on the wreath!!! It will look good either way though as my ornaments are so bright and glittery.
I laid out all my pieces next to the wreath on my counter, making sure the packages were opened and all the tags were off. First I attached the bow with a bread tie to the wire frame. Then I placed the pointsettas on. Then I added the picks by either wrapping around the wire base of the wreath or using the glue gun.
I just love glittery objects don't you? See all I did was add a little glue, and put it in place on the wreath. The flocking was all over my fingers from reaching in the branches. This was so much fun.
Here is a close up of it sitting on the dining room table... be sure to click on the photo to enlarge it. It just glitters and sparkles!
Here is a close up, see the glitter on the pointsettas? This is just so pretty.
Another close up showing off the non traditional colors in this wreath.
The bells reflecting the glitter of the ornament as well as reflected the light.
I wanted to finish my entry so I wanted a small Christmas tree in the urns beside my front door. So I followed the same steps except I just added adorned the trees each with a package of 27 multi-colored small ornaments and placed them in the urns.
Well from My Home To Yours May You Have All That Glitters This Christmas Season!

Thanks for sharing your talent, and it has been fun so far hopping with you!!!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous project! My out door decos are very limited. Just a wreath! TFS
ReplyDeleteGorgeous wreath, love all of that sparkle and glitter.
ReplyDeleteOh my your wreath is absolutely beautiful
ReplyDeleteBeautiful wreath. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Sheila! Love the candy and light bulbs! I keep it simple with the outdoor decorations now that my kids are older. I have candles in my windows and a wreath on the door. I was going to put out my lighted Santa and reindeer, but the ground is frozen and I can't get the spikes in the ground. It's kinda sad when I drive through the neighborhood. I can remember when almost every house was decorated for the holidays. Only a few here and there now.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays!
Love the glittery wreath--so pretty! I love to decorate outside my house--use many strands of lights and many colors! I use lighted animated items also. My grandkids love seeing all the lights. Hey, so do I!!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
Glenda
Absolutely beautiful tfs!!
ReplyDeleteYour wreath is gorgeous. You have such an eye for placement. We use clear icicle lights and various painted wood decorations that I painted years ago.
ReplyDeleteWow that is beautiful! I just love making Christmas decorations but don't really get to much anymore. One year I made each of your 6 children (all adults) wreaths for their front doors, some of them I even strung batter operated lights on. But I totally agree that Christmas is so much more exciting when you have small children around. I am still a big kid in that I love to look at all the house decorated
ReplyDeleteI love,Love, your home entryway!! The wreath is Very Beautiful and really looks good on the door with all the brick and two little trees on each side!!! TFS!!!

Your wreath is beautiful! I made a wreath a few years ago like the ones I love seeing when I get to visit Colonial Williamsburg for Christmas. (My parents live in Virginia.) I bought a plain wreath and decorated it with a few holly leaves/berries, apples and a pineapple that I bought at different craft stores. I love it! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely gorgeous! Great instructions too. Another thing added to my to-do list. If only I was done with Christmas shopping..

ReplyDeleteYour entry way is beautiful. I love the wreath. I decorate my door with a wreath purchased from a craft sale a couple years ago before I got into crafts..My driveway is really long so our outside decorations are just the wreath and some lights on the porch. Inside is a totally different story. I have a 13 and 8 year old and there isn't a room in the house without a Santa or snowman of some kind in it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful project. I will now be a loyal blog watcher of yours. You've been bookmarked and I am a new follower..

GORGEOUS wreath! TFS!!! -Sam :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful wreath, I love it. To be honest, I have never decorated the outside of my house. However, I have been collecting some lights the last couple of years so my grandchildren (9 and 11) helped me put up what I had and made suggestions for what to buy for next year. I am becoming a convert.
ReplyDeleteLove your wreath with the candy and glittered bulbs.
ReplyDeleteWe have a yard full of mostly snow people. No, not the real ones. They wouldn't last in the Arizona sun. We have snowflakes all around with white lights on the ground.
