Finally the time is here for the Love Of Everyone Blog Hop. And I am so excited to be able to share today's project with you and start you off to many more exciting projects along the way!
We have a line up of blogs just waiting to share many so exciting designs with you and many that are even offering blog candy! All you need to do is follow the list at the bottom of this post and you are in for a treat! Then to top it off we have a sponsor; Thirty One Gifts, that is donating a wonderful gift bag to one lucky commenter... who knows it might even be you!
Now let's move on and learn how to make a word book. This is a lengthy post but you will be able to make with these step by step instructions. This first video shows you step by step how to design your word book. It really is simple but it does take a little time. Sorry I couldn't hold it to one video, but the second video is a short one.
This second video takes you through the final stages of designing your word book so be sure to watch. The wonderful part about these videos is you can watch them over and over until your design is complete. The next and last video is the finished book complete with charms, tags and photos. Hope you get a chance to go through that too.
These are all photos of the complete design. If you would like a better view just clisck on the photo and it will make it larger. This should help you get a better view of what your pages will look like.
This last photo was the page for the chipboard. Just a reminder don't throw out the back page of your stacks as it is wonderful chipboard and fits perfectly on the mat too.
Here is the yummy paper I used for the base of my book. The My Minds Eye Garden Vignettes and 2 sheets of red glitter paper from Hobby Lobby. Click on that red for a closer look at this awesome paper.
These are my basic pages cut out and stacked before putting together. I used the back of my stacks for chipboard which was a wonderful tip from Melissa at Melissa Made. It cut like butter. I was rushed for time so I did not get the entire book cut at first sitting so I am working with what I cut and I have to tell you I like this book already.
Don't you just love this red glitter paper. Hobby Lobby sells it for $2 per sheet! Wait till on sale and pick up at 50% off. Cut it on a dirty mat as it will make a mess.
This was so simple to put the pages together. Just glue the front an back on and then add the letter! Simple as can be. Suggestion use GLUE so you have a little moving power I did the first one with ATG and what a nightmare trying to position the paper on the chipboard.
I was so excited to see so much of this done. I haven't cut out the XOXO yet so but I am thrilled with how this book is coming together.
I used my Tim Holtz Distress Ink in antique linen to soften the edges of my tags.
See the difference. I like the vintage look it gives to the paper.
Then I added the ribbon to complete the tags and make it easier to pull it out of the little envelope I made.
Because I was using glitter I used my Zip Dry Glue to adhere the envelope to the book and then placed a crystal candle holder on it for about 5 minutes to make sure I had a secure hold.
I took the blue flowers off of this vintage charm and changed it out for red roses.
This little video offers you a page by page, photo by photo view of my hubby's Valentine gift. I hope you enjoy it.
This is the front of the book.
The first page... L... O...
The little tags completed help describe what love is.
And here is my handsome hubby.
I used ribbon to create a pocket to place more photos in. And, as you can see, I journaled a little on every tag.
I added a few little charms here and there and tucked the tags in the ribbon.
Thanks for joining me today at Shes A Sassy Lady. I hoped you enjoyed today's project. My challenge to you is to make a word book and link it up! I can't wait to see what you do with yours. Now all you need to do is link up the photo of the front cover as I know it takes plenty of time to complete the inside. If I can do this project... so can you as it is really simple when you break it down page by page. Let's see those books!
Now be sure to leave a comment on this post as you could win a wonderful 24 piece Martha Stewart Glitter set! You must leave a comment on either Saturday or Sunday's post (yup, I have another project tomorrow), or both if you want to double your chance to win! You must be a follower to qualify to win.
