Lotus Blossom Card - Three Step Stamping
Hi Everyone,
Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room here for my second project of the month. I made a card with the Lotus Blossom stamp set from Stampin' Up. It's such a beautiful flower. Previously I used the same stamp set to create tags. This card was also made for a sketch challenge.
I started off with a white base and used Blackberry Bliss, Lavender Lace and Pink Passion inks from Stampin' Up. The first stamp, you ink up and stamp, the second stamp, you ink up and stamp off once, just on a piece of paper, then stamp on top of the first stamp and the third stamp, you ink up and stamp off twice, then stamp on top of the second stamp. There is a point on each stamp, so it makes it easier to line each flower up. That's using just one color of the ink, you can also use three of the same family color inks from light to dark. I used Pear Pizzazz for the stem. The sentiment was stamped with Blackberry Bliss. Both the stem and sentiment are from the same stamp set.
I tied twine around the base, cut out the border with a border punch also from Stampin' Up, then adhered the base to a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" white card. I trimmed the side a little so that the border wouldn't hang off.
I love this stamp set, I think it is so pretty. Thank you Sheila for giving me an extra day :)
Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon.

Welcome Plaque
Hello Crafty Friends,
Sherri here from Sherri's Crafty Place, and today is my day to share, Thank you so much Sheila for this opportunity, I am always so excited to share on your Blog....
Today I have a God Bless This Home Plaque,
I started with a blank wooden plaque I got from the Dollar Store...
Next I did 2 coats of White paint, and let it dry
next on my Silhouette software I designed this plaque, I used the Lavanderia Font.....(I LOVE this Font!!!!) for the God Bless and the couples name.... and the other font was Times New Roman, I have the Designers Edition Software, which is great for tracing, so I was able to trace the flourishes, and found a cute house in clip art and trace it...
Next I cut it all out in Black Vinyl and applied it to the Dried plaque
Thank you so much for stopping by today...
Happy Crafting

Private McShea
This is the last of my Army pages and I really had fun putting this together. I found this last photo of Jason and of course I wanted to use it. I am not used to putting just one photo on a page so for me this was a challenge. Join me today as I show you how to weld letters on the Explore and then put the page together.
See how easy this is? It make is so easy to handle when you put the page together too.
It is so much easier to put your pages together on the screen and then place it on the paper. You can move and adjust on the screen but you certainly can't if you have placed glue on the paper.
This is my journaling box and this is the only page of the three Army pages that I hand wrote. Easier to type but more sentimental to write.
Well I hope you liked today's post and learned a little something that will help you along. Thank you for your sweet-sweet words of encouragement. You comments continue to inspire me. Have a blessed day.

Floral Sympathy Card
Hey everyone...It's Sonya from Sonya's Paper Trail. The project I am sharing today is inspired by a Pinterest find. I didn't copy the card so much, as I took a few elements of the card I found and made them work for what I had on hand.
Check it out:
I
liked the wide banner cut from the original card and I liked it paired
with an oval. When I put my oval over the banner, it just didn't look
right, so I offset the banner to the left and really liked the result.
Here's a tip....I really, really like this layout and plan to use it a
lot going forward. I saved the banner and ovals as a .studio file to
cut out with my Cameo going forward. I started a new file folder of
card layouts like this one, so that when I am in need of a quick card, I
can go back to a "tried and true" layout that I know I like.
For
this card, the patterned papers are by Echo Park For the Record 2. The
stamps are by My Craft Spot, as is the jute twine. I added three
yellow pearls, to bring out the pretty yellow tones in the floral paper.
I hope you have a fantastic day and are able to do something creative!!
Cheers,
Sonya

Art Nouveau Two
Good morning! Adrienne from Eagle Canyon Arts
here as a guest designer for Miss Sheila the Sassy Lady. It is such an
honor to be included in this talented design team. Thank you, Sheila!
Last time I showed you a birthday card done with one of my favorite Cricut cartridges - the Art Nouveau. Sometimes it's almost impossible not to get SO caught up in the beauty and versatility of these cartridges that one spends hours thinking up different ways to use all the wonderful features on them.
Here are four more examples of the beautiful women featured on this cartridge. I've made notecards out of all of them.
So far, I just have the plain note cards. I am still "mulling over" what I want to do to accent each of these lovely women. Eventually I will add something to the front, I think (maybe not), probably leaving the inside blank - especially if I decide to bundle these together as a gift. I would like to receive these as a gift, wouldn't you?
Sparkles, glitter, bitty diamonds... Oh! The possibilities are endless for embellishment. Still, I like them just as they are. As you can see, the Cricut machine (I have the old faithful Expression) does all the "fussy cuts", right down to the tiny lips and details on those FABulous hoop earrings. On second thought, Princess #1 could use some diamonds in her tiara, yes? Have you enjoyed these gorgeous girls as much as I enjoyed making them? I hope so! Next time, I may delve into the Art Deco cartridge, if I have the nerve! Can you stand it?? Until then,

Heather Makes The News
This is a great page showing how to scrap a newspaper article. Go get a cup of coffee or coke and join me as I show you how to put this page together.
The heading has letters that are welded together to make it easier to glue the letters down. Please watch the following video to show you how you can design you page right on the Cricut Explore.
See how easy it is. After I get my page designed I do all the cutting. My workspace is right in front of my computer so it is easy to remember what I had in mind when I designed it.
See how just curling the flowers around a pen adds dimension to the page.
See it doesn't take long when you plan out what you are doing and follow through.
I like to mix up my tags by writing and typing them. I love looking back on my mothers hand writing and I think they will enjoy that later in life.
See how personal it looks if you handwrite.
This is my Heather. I hope you enjoyed today's post. Thank you for your sweet-sweet words of encouragement. Your comments inspire me. Have a blessed day.

Easter Wreath
Hi Everyone,
Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room here to share my monthly project. Finally, the snow is melting and the temperatures are rising :) I decided I wanted to make an Easter wreath for my door. I've been seeing the Geomesh wreaths all over the place. They are gorgeous. I need a little practice with making them though, they are actually pretty easy but you have to manipulate the mesh to make it look nice. I got the ribbon at AC Moore, it is wired but it doesn't seem to be a real good quality but that's ok. I got the wired framed wreath, the Geomesh, the egg pick and the carrot pick at Michael's.
Well that's it for me. I have another day this month, the 31st. Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day :)

Army Scrapbook Pages
This is the weekend my son graduated from boot camp. We were so proud of him and did get to spend a little time with him... as you can see he was shining his boots for the presentation we would have around dusk. Spend a few minutes with me and see how I put my pages together. Grab a cup of coffee, tea or a coke and let's visit.
Yes I used my Explore for the journaling and it is great. I decided I am not going to use it all the time though as I like the personal writing as later in life it becomes a treasure too.
Now see how easy it is to put the pages together. I like it better as I do it on the explore and then cut. I find that I still tweak a little before I glue down but it has made scrapbooking much easier.
This is a close up of how the lettering looks lifted a little from the page.
This is the second page heading.
This just shows how the two pages butt up against each other.
I hope you enjoyed today's post and our little visit! Thank your for your sweet words of encouragement. Your comments continue to inspire me. Have a blessed day.

TUB QUEEN
Congrats on the Bathroom Reno!
Hello, crafters! It's Grace from Grace Notes for Today, sharing my card for the month of March.Sometimes we have those special congrats that come along in life. When the lady of the house finally gets her long-awaited dream bathroom, it is definitely cause for celebration!
Amid all the chatter about teal-coloured towels and homemade bath salts, the wheels in my head were turning. To share in my sister's joy of her newly completed bathroom, I designed this card, complete with shiny bubbles.
This view shows the many layers and a peak at the inside.
Card size is 6"w x 4-1/2"h.
Inside
I am not a huge collector of stamps, partly because I could never find the exact sentiment for specific themes. It was just easier and quicker for me to use the tools I already have, i.e., my computer and printer. For this card, I created the front sentiment and inside verse in Word, and changed the text colour to teal. I like the effect of using a matching font colour on my cards. Printing my own verses gives me unlimited colours of ink choices.
The waves are embossed using a smaller folder from Darice. The waves just happened to be exactly the right length for my card. Don't you love it when that happens!
For the final touch, I added the cute little rubber duckie. Even a queen needs one of these little guys! (But mostly, I liked the hit of yellow.)
Cartridges Used
A Child's Year - girl in tub and yellow duck
Elegant Edges - frame and frame border on front
Have a wonderful Day. Spring is just a few days away.
I'd love for you to drop by and see me at Grace Notes for Today.

Meet MISTI
“She” has become my new best friend – at least for stamping. This is Charlotte C. I am a stamper at heart, for those who don’t know (like probably everyone here). Even though I am attached to my Cricut and Silhouette cutting machines, it was the introduction of stamps into my life that got me hooked on paper crafting.
MISTI stands for Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented. It works with clear stamps and cling stamps (not wood block stamps). This tool makes it easy to fix stamping mistakes by re-stamping precisely over the original stamped image, layer stamp images, line up stamps on die cuts, create borders with small stamps. It takes the fear out of direct stamping on your project, and makes mass production so easy, and more. This is what it looks like opened.I got mine from Mysweetpetunia.com – the inventor of this tool. If you’ve ever stamped an image or a phrase and it did not turn out precisely as it should, you’ll understand my excitement over this tool. How it works is to place your card stock flush in the corner, put your stamp face down where you want to stamp, close the cover so it picks up the stamp, ink the stamp, close the cover – done. Don’t move anything till you’re satisfied. Just as an example, you can see the first stamping of “Let’s Celebrate” is not good where the bottom stars are. I just re-inked, lowered the lid and stamped again. Voila.
Another tricky stamping – lining up the stamp on a die cut, especially a solid background stamp as “Birthday Wishes.” I’ve had these stamps for a while and could never get them lined up on the cuts from my Cricut so I didn’t use them. Enter MISTI – piece of cake. I used removable adhesive behind the die cut and adhered it to a piece of card stock which I positioned against the corner of the MISTI.
Little stamps line up around the edge of my panel by rotating my panel, first lining up my stamps with the longer sides of the rectangle, then the shorter sides. We all have little stamps – here’s a way to stretch their use.
The ease of mass production is obvious. Once you position your stamp where you need it on your card, you just keep inking and putting a new card in the corner of the tool. I actually think what I did below can be mass produced, even if it is five stamps and seven stampings (say what?). Just stamp one image with one color on all your cards first, then go to the next layer/color, etc.
But wait, there’s more! If I’ve peaked your interest, please check out YouTube to see videos that cover much more – tips and trick and how to create stripes, etc. Of course there’s videos by MySweetPetunia, but do check out the videos by Maureen Wong. She will have you stamping in circles – literally.
Thank you for joining us today, and thank you, Sheila, for having me here again. I'm hoping to be back with another MISTI project soon (and maybe even better photography and finished cards!).March 15, 2015
Jeremiah 29:11 Hisw His Word In My Heart Week 10
This week is a wonderful verse that I just love doing this page... except I did make an error but I left it as I had other projects that had to be done and I didn't notice until I had already posted on Facebook's Hide His Word In My heart group. I had a hard time making this as the video will show but it did turn out ok.
See what I mean I didn't like the product I used. I should have used a Hodge Podge and then it would have been a little easier. Maybe someday I will do again.
This is just a little close up showing how the paper shined after it dried. Thank you for joining me today as I work out my memory verse for the week.
Thank you for you sweet-sweet words. Your comments continue to inspire me. Have a blessed week.

Basket Ball Scrapbook Page
Don't you just love basketball? I love the speed of the game, the excitement the loud noise of the crowd and even the squeaking of their gym show as they run the court. Fortunately my son loved the game and was actually very good at it. Jason went to a private school and would shine in sports.
I used my new Explore and it was just so easy putting all the little elements onto the page. I like a lot of photos and I assure you there will be more pages.
See how easy it is to put a page together? I like plenty of photos and these 2 pages do the trick.
It was great being able to type the journaling and fit it in last minute in the space I had for it.
Don't you just love this basketball player? I used a spray adhesive to attach him to the page.
Here is the 2nd page and I just love the action of the 5x7. So you know the boys did get the ball from the guy in white without getting a foul!
Well I hope you liked today's post. I am having so much fun scrapping and looking at all these old photos... so much fun!
Thank you for joining me today and for the sweet-sweet words of encouragement. Your comments continue to inspire me.

Happy Birthday Centerpiece
Hi, everyone! Java Jen here from JAVA JEN CREATIONS to share a little Thursday inspiration with you! Thanks, Sheila for yet another opportunity! I am always making centerpieces as gifts for people. I like to think of them more as paper bouquets! :-) I made this one for a co-worker and she was amazed that I made it! (I just didn't tell her how easy it really was!) :-) I used several different cartridges like Sweet Treats, Birthday Bash, Birthday Cakes and Celebrate. I simply cut my images out at the size I thought would look best and attached them to wood skewers and stuck them in a foam block inside a mason jar. I used tissue paper to hide the foam block! So easy!
Thanks for stopping by today!!
