This is Pam from Sassy's Design Team. Thank you Sheila for having me here as your designer today.
If you dropped in last week to my blogs (Papillon Digital Designs & The Bug Bytes ) you would know I was organizing all my stamps and cleaning up my scraproom - lol in fact my whole house needed cleaning. I found some things like corks and a packaging spongy like paper thingy which came with close to my heart stamps etc and  decided to recycle/use them in a project.

I have fallen in love with kraft paper  - Recollections. The other paper is from K & Company - I think the designer pad. Some chalk inks, staz on - black ink, stamps - yep after all the organizing gotta use them don't I ? and nestabilities - scallop and of course some tinkering with AI to create my own text (don't know what I was thinking when I typed that in but lol that's what came to my mind when I saw the cork :) ) I was set to make my card. The font is Bauhese free font and the flowers from some other font. You can click on the image and print it out if you like it.

Oh and some Ribbons. Yes the big wide costco ribbon and another smaller one from HL which so looks like the costco one.

I just traced a walmart cup rim onto the cork and cut it with scissors. It is about 3.5 inches. Then I stamped a doily shape onto the white spongy thingy with staz on ink and cut that out too. You can't see the print too clearly here but you can when you see it in person. A MS flower punch on a scrap piece. Then the wired costco ribbon comes in so handy as it retains the fold shape easily. So fold the ribbon in a rosette shape and glue it on. Some bling and some sharpie on the cork and the rosette is ready. The kraft paper I cut it 12" x 6" and the k & company paper to 5" x 11.5".

This is for Dayna and Carole and Jeannie - my design team members. I used layers and pop dart. I do layer but left to myself I would have just stacked - 1 white scallop (label) on the brown. But nope these ladies especially the first two made me do it - well not made me but encouraged me/egged me on to do this - ie stack like this.

I have told them I will do this on solid cardstock or printed out things but nope not on my lovely stack of patterned papers. As it is each time I use these stacks - it's like pulling out my teeth :).

It's Time For Some Blog Candy And A New Look For She's A Sassy Lady

This is so exciting. We have a totally new look and I hope you all love it as much as I do. We wanted it easy to read but filled with lots of Sass to keep you coming back and wanting to see more. So be sure to let me know what you think of our new look.

The Kids Corner - Sydney Shares A Birthday Card

Hope you are having a great day. I want you to meet my 8 year old grand daughter Sydney. She will be showing us how to make this cute little birthday card she gave to her cousin Brianna. I am so fortunate that all my grand children love to craft. So when ever they spend time with me they love to create. How fun is that? for  video click HERE. Weekly Challenge Winner

I am so excited to announce a winner each week but even more so to get a notice in my email telling me someone else has linked up with a wonderful entry. That means that you are doing what you love.... creating! And it doesn't get much better than spending time doing something you love!

Accordion Ornament Christmas Card

Good morning. I am so excited to share another project using the accordion ornaments with you today here and at The Bug Bytes. Pam is so sweet to invite me to share with you each month on her site. Be sure to watch for her post here on She's A Sassy Lady this Friday, as it is always a treat to have her join me! As you can see from above I am sharing these 2 very simple cards. I want to add that the ornament were origanlly designed by Bobby Hardgrave of the Cricut Couple and thank him for allowing me to share his file with you.

This is a close up of one of the ornaments that I made. All of the printed paper is from last years Chrismas stack from My Mind's Eye. It is so glittery I just love it.

First I used a Martha Stewart punch and trimmed it close so it wouldn't look akward on a standard A2 card.

Then I used another Martha Stewart punch to trim the striped pattern paper.

Here are the two punches as I really am not sure of the names.

I lined the inside of the with the same print I used on the outside, topped with just a plain white card stock for the sentiment area. I haven't stamped the inside yet as I was thinking of just hand writing the sentiment.

This is what the outside looks like before I attached the ornament. See how simple.

All I did was tie a bow on the ornament and used a glue dot to the ribbon so the receiver could easily remove the ornament and use it for their tree or adorn a package.

This is a close up of the ornament, aren't the papers yummy? I just love how shiney they are.

Then I put together these box envelope that I purchased from My Quilling Nest. They were so easy to assemble. I figured I would use them as I purchased them over a month ago and I wanted to protect the contents of this card.

Look how nicely they fit inside.
