Aren't they cute? My friend Cindy at Crazy For Crafting made something similar and even provided a cut file to use. I downloaded it on my computer at work and then forgot to download it to my Gypsy Woman. Well you all know I am not good at techy stuff with the computer and could never get our laptop and my Gypsy Woman to communicate so I was stuck. This forced me to design my own cut as I had already gone to the store and purchased a bag of 48 little Sweetheart candies to do this Valentine craft. Mind you I did growl at Cindy a little bit for coming up with such a cute little gift for Valentines Day!
Below you can see my cut file... complete with score marks I might add.... thanks to my very good friend Pam at TheBugBytes having videos that teach us how to get the most from our gypsies. (My score lines were too large at first but were fixed for the final cut, the demo photos don't show that).
I had some beautiful Stampin' Up paper that I got from my friend Barb at Snowman Lovers Paperie a while back that I hadn't used that was perfect for this project.... two sided and everything! As you can see below, the first cuts have the score marks too large... now they are just right.
I then scored the paper...
And packed my bag to put the items together where ever and when ever I had the time....
I then folded the paper...
Placed the candy in. Do try to get the candy to lay as flat as possible...
Stapled it together...
And tied ribbon on the bottom... the above shows three of the 40 I put together. When putting yours together make sure the ribbon covers the staple... it will look nicer (see above center is the wrong way) and will protect anyone from getting a cut on the staple.
This project is great for so many things. Sunday school classes, co-workers, Girl or Boy Scouts, Brownies, schools, clubs and so on. The beauty is the cut file can be altered. For Easter a cross or a bunny; Halloween a pumkin;; Christmas a candy cane or use a Santa. The uses are endless...
Here is all you need: Candy, a 12x12 sheet of cardstock for every 5 matchbooks you make, a stapler and staples and ribbon. Here is my file for you to use..... Sassy-Valentine Gypsy or Sassy-Valentine CDS .Be sure to send me an email with a photo to shesasassylady@hotmail.com.
Thank you so much for your comments, as it is always great to hear your encouraging words!

Those are really cute! You are right, they could be used for any occasion by changing the shape of the hole. Thanks for sharing!

These are sooo super cute! I really wish I would have seen them a week ago... I would have made them for my daughter's class! I guess I will have to file this idea for next year!!
Barb
Sheila, they turned out great! Thanks for the mention and link to me, too! :)
Oh what fun looking treats. You are really becoming the crafting dynamo with Gypsy Woman ... I love that you found a file you like but were able to use it, so you created your own. WAY TO TO! You and Gypsy Women are a great team!
Hugz,

You've already created my idea...darn it! I should have known that someone would have...I'm glad it's you though. I will be making these for my daughter's 4th grade class and you have already created what I was planning on doing. Yours are fabulous, I just hope mine will come out just as nice!
