Valentines, Paper Rosettes, and Stick Pins!

It's that time of year again when love is in the air!
Happy Wednesday!  This is Carolyn from
Carolyn's Creative Corner!
Today's post is all about making Valentine's Day Cards!

The cards that I will be showing you today are created using handmade paper rosettes and stick pins!  All supplies and papers are from my stash!  I am participating in a challenge to use my papercrafting stash for as long as possible.  I haven't bought new paper or embellishments since October 2012.  I may have to buy some adhesives soon!
This card measures 5 inches x 7 inches.

The handmade rosettes are created using a strip of paper and the Martha Stewart Score Board.
For complete instructions please click here...
The card measures 5 inches x 7 inches.

The stick pins are created using corsage pins and various beads.  For complete instructions on creating the stick pins, please visit here...
The card measures 4 inches x 5 1/2 inches.

For the stick pins on these cards, I changed the glue to Glossy Accents.  The glue holds the beads quicker and dries clearer than Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive.  After adding the beads, toppers, spacers, and glue, I put the completed stick pin upside-down in a small plastic container that I found at a yard sale.  This allows the glue to dry and the pin is then ready to be added to the card.  The plastic container has 'Avon' printed on the bottom, but I do not know what it was used for originally.

Rosette and little bit of twine!
Card measures 4 inches x 5 1/2 inches

Heart-shaped paper doilies are just the right touch for Valentine's Day cards!  Add a stick pin, some ribbon, and patterend paper..and there you have it!!
Card measures 5 inches by 7 inches.

Inside card!  The intertwined hearts is a  die cut from the
Cuttlebug Die "Love Language"

What a beautiful way to use your stash! I can attest to the effectiveness off using your stash and saving money. I used to participate in your pledges to use your stash over at the Cricut MB ;).
