Learning How To Use The Slice Feature On Design Space

Isn't this little southern belle bear just adorable? I just love playing with my Explore and Design Space as it offers so many features to make designing easier. I never thought I would set aside my Gypsy Woman, but I have. Join me today and learn how you too can make a project using the slice feature. This is just a short video and it will help you.

Now wasn't that easy? I always put my project back together when I adjust it so it is easy to remember just what it looks like. Then I play with the colors to make sure it will look ok using the paper I have.

Peace....using Create A Critter

Hi Everyone!  It's Sonya from Sonya's Paper Trail, so that means it is time to share my monthly holiday card inspiration.  And boy do I have a cute little card to share with you all today--it's one I've had in mind for a long time.

The background paper was my main inspiration for this sweet little card.  The paper is by Doodlebug and is from the Home For the Holidays 6 by 6 paper pad.  The cardstock I used is either SU Real Red or scraps of browns and beiges.

 

The sweet little deer is cut at 2.5 inches and can be found on Cricut Create A Critter.

I also used Elegant Edges (page 49) for the frame shape and that was cut at 4 inches.  The small tag with "Peace" is from George and Basic shapes and is cut at 1.25 inches.    The stamp is by Hero Arts.

I think the little details like the embossing, using a gel pen for white dots, the red gemstones for the collar and so on make this a sweet little greeting card that someone will enjoy getting this upcoming holiday season.

Adorable Create A Critter Puppy Makes A Great Valentine Card.

This is so much fun getting the valentine cards ready for my grandchildren and niece and nephew. You all know how I love Create A Critter will I made this card 2 up in just 7 minutes!!! You have to love that, so easy and it you want the CCR file just click HERE.

Look how cute they look and they went together in know time at all, even though I made a color mistake, I was still able to correct it.

Happy 98th Birthday, Gma!

Hello everyone! Java Jen here from JAVA JEN CREATIONS and I am so excited to share some projects with you this month! Thank you, Sheila, for another opportunity!
Recently my Gma, (short for Grandma), turned 98 and we celebrated in grand style! I was in charge of the decorations and I had so much fun doing them! My Gma's sister turned 96 the day after her so we celebrated her too! I made a birthday banner, Chip Decor names and themed centerpieces.

I used the Country Life cartridge for the images in this centerpiece because it was perfect to represent her growing up years!

The main table that Gma and her sister Lucille sat at.

Used the Hobby Lobby exclusive cartridge, Chip Decor to cover the Chip Decor letters.

Made this centerpiece using the Heritage and Country Life cartridges.

Hedgehog Shape Card

This is such a fun little card and matching envelope. I made it using my Gypsy, but it could easily be done with the Cricut Craft Room (CCR) too. Being that the card finished was an odd size I used the We Are Memory Keepers Envelope Punch to make the envelopes.

Now didn't that do together easy. I cut twelve cards and ended up with 11. I just didn't like the way the glitter turned out on my first try and I ripped the white inside on one so I am thrilled that I ended up with eleven cards! It will be a great card for the party.

Here is a close up the the little Hedgehog card and as you can see there is plenty of glitter on it. I just wish you could see this card glisten.... well I guess you can on the video. I just couldn't get a glistening photo!

I even glittered each of the flowers and they sparkle too.

The inside of my card boasts stamps from Cardz TV the Good Times set. Isn't this just perfect for this cute little card?

Word Shape Cards

Good day! I can't wait to share this awesome little word shape card with you! So go grab a cup of coffee and turn you gypsy on and let's get to work on this wonderful little friendship card.

Now wasn't that easy. Just remember to set up a little template of 4.25x5.5"  for yourself so that you can check the sizes of your finished card a little easier. Also be sure to make it two up so that you end up with 2 finished cards; one to send and one for your stash for the future.

Now that was really easy to put together wasn't it? Notice how I adjusted after making the first card to make the second even nicer. So easy to do when you make 2 cards at a time.

Look how cute this turned out. I really think this paper has a western feel to it don't you? The out side or base of the card was from The Guys Stack from DCWV, white the inside lining and the top of the horse was the back of CTMH Footloose paper.

Here are the finished cards. Aren't they just too cute. I know I will be making more of these as they make a great friendship card.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day. everyone!! Java Jen here from JAVA JEN CREATIONS and I'm so tickled to share with everyone here and everyone over at CRICUT IS CLOSE TO MY HEART! I made some photo props for my daughter to use in taking Valentine pics of our grandsons and some friends! They turned out so good - but the stars of these pics are, most definitely, our grandsons! They just melt my heart! Sorry if I'm gushing here, but they just complete my world!! We are truly blessed! I'll post a few pics and then give some details about what cartridges, cuts and sizes were used to make the props. Remember, you can click on the pictures to see them bigger!  By the way, our daughter took these amazing pictures!

Our 5 1/2 month old grandson, Truman! Yes, he's a big boy and oh, so kissable!!

The "BE MINE" banner base is from Cricut Art Philosophy - CTMH and is cut at 7.5"

"BE MINE" letters are from Cricut Art Deco and are cut at 3.25"

The hearts are vary in size from 3.5" - 9.5" and are cut from Cricut George and Basic Shapes and Cricut American Alphabet

The Heart Balloons are from Cricut Create a Critter and are cut at 8.07" and 10.9".

Gypsy Made Simple - Making Oversized Shape Cards

Good morning. I am so excited to be with you this morning. I stayed up late Thursday evening and got this cute little shape ready for you to make with me.... Now go grab a cup of coffee, or tea, turn your Gypsy on and let's get to work. You can work from any cart you want. I chose Create A Critter as it is just one of my favorite go to carts.

Now wasn't that easy... just a few little steps and you are ready to cut your card in no time at all. As this card is so large I will only be making one. Be sure to see yesterday's post for directions on making envelopes of any size. I have to go back and make on for this card.

Now let's get this card put together. It is so easy with just a few little steps you have a great card ready to send out.

See how I stickled the little feather area. It just offers that little extra something this card need to draw your attention to it. Granted the papers are just awesome they are from the Pemberly collection at Close To My Heart. I just love the colors and they cut so well on my Cricut.

Here is a close up of the card. I love how it came together and the size is wonderful... I will definitely be making a lot more of the larger cards. Gypsy Made Simple - Christmas Tags - Making Multiples The Easy Way

Missed you the past couple of weeks while I was taking care of a few family issues. The issues are still there, as they are not going to change for a while. So we are just going to keep moving along, maybe a little bit slower than normal but we're going to keep Gypsy made simple going.

Well it is that time of year again where we are making multiples galore for our Christmas Cards and tags. And our little Gypsy is the perfect little tool to make your life easier. So go grab a cup of coffee and turn your Gypsy on so we can get some work done.

I am partaking in a Christmas Tag swap with designers from The Bug Bytes and She's A Sassy Lady and I have 15 tags to make. Only the first 15 to join became a part of the swap. Well I am still undecided and not sure if I am using this tag for the swap or for my gifts here at home, but either way they are great little tags and cute as can be.

I used my new CTMH Artiste cartridge for the tag and had to make it to the correct dimension, 6 1/4 x 3 1/8. That was the easy part. I then just made duplicates and cut my papers. I also used the little penguin on the Create A Critter cart and set up pages according to the size. Please watch the video so you will understand how it works.

Now wasn't that easy? You can do it too and I can't wait to see what you do do with your multiples!

Gyspy Made Simple - Making Multiples

Shhhhh, don't tell my friends or Charlotte over at A Little Bit Of Detail, but this is my card for my Friday the 13th Card Party! Isn't he just too cute? Well is was so easy to do, thanks to my Gypsy Woman and I thought I would just take a few minutes and share with you because so many times we need multiples. This card will make 9! Yes I did say 9. I needed 7 for the party and I made 2 extra for my stash. I had to chuckle because after I put my card together on my Gypsy I saw Edna at Create With Expression and the Cricut Magazine had featured this card also... see great minds!

Let's get to work and make this card...

Now wasn't that easy? If you need a refresher on shape cards just go to the Gypsy tab at the top of my blog and you will find it under one of the Gypsy Made Simple tutorials. I thought it would be best if I shared this as we really need to take full advantage of the Gypsy and start designing more that 1 object at a time. Personally I think it is easier to make in multiples as you only have to choose the paper one time! It takes me longer to choose paper that to make the silly card!

Now let's get this card put together...

Another easy make. I was going to flip the video like Stacy from Love That Bug said but then I realized I kept turning the papers for you to see and they would have been upside down so I left it. Tri-Fold Card Revisited

Good day!  Do to a family emergency I am re-running this  post. Hopefully I will be back next week with a new project. Prayers are welcomed. 

Time to join me for Gypsy Made Simple where we learn to make all types of projects. This is such a fun little card to make and is sure to put a smile on the recipients face. I used my 3 Fold template and then added the artwork from Create A Critter. Now if you don't have that cart just use any cart you like to make a card. Now grab a cup of coffee, turn on your Gypsy, download this TEMPLATE, and let's get to work. Note the template is made from George. If you don't have that cart you will need to make your own base by making your own from a cart you have.

Now follow along as I take you step by step in the process of designing this card. Remember work with the page that says Empty and that you are looking at the INSIDE of the card. That is important as you will flip your art used on the base only and you will place your paper on the mat accordingly (front down, inside up).

Now that you have your card cut you can easily see how it gets put together. Make sure you score where the sections meet, and take the time to make all your pieces are inked and accentuated before you lay them down. Also make sure you do not use pop dots or foam tape on the inside section as you want your card to lay flat.

Look at the little heart in the word smile, I used a white gel pen and then added glitter so the card would have a little bling on it.

Again I used the gel pen to ad a little motion to my puppy... isn't he just too cute?

I used my Close To My Heart Olive ink pad on the roof line and around the edges of my sentiment area. Then I just added a few dots on the house to make it pop.

This is how the card looks when it is standing.... isn't it just too cute.

Here is a photo of both of the cards together. I was amazed at how fast they actually came together.
