It Is So Hard To Keep Up With My Scrapbooks, How About You? Do You Struggle Too?

Well here I am trying to catch up on my pages again... and yes I am sorry they are digital.... Sorry but I can't do my pages here at work on my lunch hour without carting all my supplies! As it is I am getting ready for the card party that is coming up this weekend and I packed a bunch of goodies in a vinyl see through portfolio and used my rounded corner punch on the base of the cards and the sentiment area and then inked all the edges for eight cards! I work and create where ever and in what ever environment I can create on paper or digital at home or at work, just as long as I can create!

I have all these photos on a jump drive that I carry with me and it is great for those slow times. I can get on my computer and in no time at all knock out a few pages. It only took an hour to do these 6 pages. Recently I was asked the difference between Close To My Heart and the My Memories digital scrap book programs and which I liked better. I have to tell you that I like them both but for different reasons. First I think that the quality of the Studio J pages done on Close To My Heart is second to none... it is the best. However with that said I love the fast fill feature of the My Memories program where I can pick my pages and then the program will automatically place all the photos in for me. That feature is great for family events where you take a lot of photos, and the cost of developing is less by about $1.50 per page, however the finished pages are not as nice as that of Close To My Heart.... Now I will add that this probably has to do with the fact that My Memories is not printing them, I am having them printed.

I am so bad at taking photos, I take a ton of them and then I want to use them all. I love looking at old photos. I like the paper choices I have with the Close To My Heart pages as they coordinate so well. The Studio J program is super simple to work. Just click on it choose your photos, then paper colors, your layout and then you are ready to place your photos. So simple you can do 2 pages in a half hour every time and I like that. I also like that I don't have to buy anything else, with My Memories I am always looking at their kits for more... hey not a criticism I just love paper and can't stop buying them and well let's just say I have the same problem with the digital kits!

The page above is one of the reasons I LOVE digital pages.... look at the size of these photos! I don't plan my photos when I scrapbook and have them all printed at a 4x6 size. With digitals you can have these awesome odd sized prints. And all you need to do is click on the photo and you can move it to just what you want to be seen. It is awesome.

Don't you love how the different sized photos add interest to the page? I do to and just think it was an auto fill and the program just dropped the photos in place. That is one of my favorite features when I am doing a lot of photos. My Memories program is the one to turn to for that feature.

One of the things I try to do is add photos of the food we eat as it touches your senses and brings back memories that are wonderful. I hope I helped you today by sharing these pages. These were all done on the My Memories software program. If you decide that you want to own it on your own be sure to add this little code for $10 off.... The code is STMMMS32096. If you decide the the Studio J program will fit you needs better then just click on Close To My Heart and it will take you over to that. Either way you will be happy and won't it be great to get those pages done?
I hope you like today's little project and I was some help to you. Thank you for your sweet sweet words of encouragement. Your comments inspire me to continue sharing with you. Have a Blessed Day!

Terrific LO's Sheila, thank you for your candid comparison of both programs, I have Making Memories as I live outside the US and CTMH would cost too much to deliver here...sadly, though appreciate your opinion :)

Hi Sheila! I am so glad you posted this. I have just recently gone digital-ish (well hybrid, really as I like to add die cuts to my printed digital scrapbook pages) when it came to scrapbooking and I LOVE it! I use the CM StoryBook Creator software. I find that I can literlly crank up more pages than purely traditional way of paper scrapping. Here's hopping I can finally catch up with my family's scrapbook pages. Thanks for sharing!
