Rose--The Language of Love!

Hello!  I am Carolyn from Carolyn's Creative Corner http://cccscraproom.blogspot.com/
and I have the honor of presenting a card project on Sassy's Blog today.
The card is created using images from Close to My Heart Cricut Cartridge "Art Philosopy" and Cricut Cartridge "Walk in My Garden"
The card base is from "Art Philosopy".  I also used a frame from the same cartridge.
The front of the card was embossed using the Cuttlebug embossing folder "Kassie's Brocade".  Before embossing the front, I scored the fold in the center of the card base.  I put the front into the folder and folded the back behind the folder and ran it through the Cuttlebug.
I used the Gypsy to create 3 different sizes of the rose.  Then cut multiples of the flower to use as layers on the card.
I cut shadows for the roses.
As I removed the pieces from the Cricut mat, I put them into separate stacks.
Here is a tip for keeping images/cuts separate while creating a project.
I found this plastic desk drawer organizer at an office supply store in the clearance area.
It was less than a dollar.  I glued white paper to the bottom of the little sections so that I can see the images better.  This has been a great help when working with lots of pieces.  When I finish the project, I put the extras into a plastic bag, label, and store for another project.
Here are the assembled roses.  I used dimensional tape and glue to put the pieces together.
The label on the front is from a Cuttlebug cut/emboss folder.
Front of the card before the roses and sentiment are added.
I cut an extra label, stamped the sentiment, and put it on top of this label using dimensional tape.
Inside the card.
I used 1/8 inch Tacky Tape to hold the ribbon in place.
The frame was inked and used to hold the sentiment.  The sentiment is printed from the computer.  A Spellbinders oval die was used for the sentiment.

Oh, Carolyn, you have out-done yourself! Love the embossing and all of that wonderful texture against the strong contrast of the roses -so dramatic! Lovely verse and fun use of red inking!
