Birthday Card And Gypsy Tips

Isn't this a beautiful card? I just love making window cards and they are soooo easy that once you learn how I am sure you will be making more and more of them. I have a couple of little Gypsy tips to share with you when you are making these cute little window cards so be sure to click on the video below.

Here is a photo of what my screen looks like with all the elements of my card on it. On the lower left you will see the base of the card and a flipped copy of that base. Lower center is just the sentiment area for the card and the rest of the items are the layers that get attached to the base after it is put together.
Look at these yummy papers. The bottom sheets are from My Minds Eye and the silver is actually left over pieces from a box I made 2 months ago.

The above video is preparing the card and getting the base of the card ready. Remember I have 2 whole pieces that need to be made into the base of the card, this video will show you how.
I always start by making sure I have all my pieces and they fit perfectly on the card. Then I assemble the layers and move on to finishing up the card. With this card you must get the base done before you can adhere anything to it.
I had to show you this paper it is so pretty look how it shimmers and glistens in the light. Don't you just love it?

And the final video finishes up the card and no alarm to drive you crazy at the end this time!!! Yeah I did a sneak peek at my next video for the next card and it is GOOD!!!! Yeah I knew if you would be patient with me I would get this figured out! But, this card does finish up nicely and really looks great. I purchased some envelopes today at Hobby Lobby that these 5x5" square will fit in perfectly
Look how nicely the heading looks on this card, and it shimmers too!

Then I carefully added the balance of the layers on and although the video shows I was able to just place the gems on, I ended up gluing them down with the Zip Dry to make them secure.

This is a close up of the inside of the card.
Well wasn't that easy? I sure hope you learned a new trick or two. This is a copy of today's Happy Birthday Gypsy File and Happy Birthday DS File so you can make one for someone special. Be sure to follow the instructions in the video and stock up on Birthday card for those special people in your life.

Thank you for your sweet words of encouragement. Your comments continue to inspire me and put a smile on my face!
